About
I'm an amateur artist, self-taught, and never took the plunge into art as a profession.
For years I've been most intrigued with birds of prey - the raptors of the world. I've had the good fortune and time to study, photograph, and sketch raptors in-situ. My attempts started with my early years on the islands of Maine, studying osprey.
Since then my path has crossed with some amazing wildlife, and inspirational artists and ornithologists - primarily in Africa, but also Asia, North America, and Eastern Europe.
My more recent work includes the addition of mammals and other bird groups. I continue to experiment with styles, techniques and media, and enjoy presenting attitudes and compositions that are out-of-the-ordinary, attempting a tad of interpretation.
